Status Saver operates completely offline. We do not host servers, gather user logs, or collect personal information. Your media and permissions remain 100% local on your device.

1. Key Privacy Commitments

Zero Data Collection: Status Saver does not collect, transmit, store externally, or share any personal information, media (photos/videos), or usage statistics.
Local Storage: All media saved by the app is stored directly in your device's public storage directory and is indexed locally.
Local Monitoring: The app monitors application usage stats locally on the device to detect when WhatsApp enters the foreground. This data is never sent to any server.
Offline Permissions: Storage, usage access, and notification permissions are requested solely to perform core offline functions on the device.

2. Information Collection and Use

No Personal Data Collection

We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data, usage data, device telemetry, identifier data, or communications.

No Internet Access

The App does not request or use the Internet permission (android.permission.INTERNET). It is technically impossible for the App to transmit any data or media files from your device to us or any third party.

Local Storage Access (Media Files)

To perform its core functions, the App requests access to WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business status directories using the Storage Access Framework (SAF) or legacy storage permissions. The App reads status media files (photos/videos) that you have viewed and copies them to your public storage directory (Pictures/SavedStatuses). This process is entirely local, offline, and controlled by you. We have no access to your media files.

Local Usage Access Monitoring

The App requests "Usage Access" (PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS) to check when the WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business applications are running in the foreground. This permission is used solely to trigger a local status scan when you open WhatsApp. No logs of your app usage or timestamps are stored, saved, or shared.

3. Information Sharing and Disclosure

Because the App operates completely offline and collects no data, we do not share, sell, rent, or disclose any information (personal or non-personal) to third parties.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

All data saved by the App resides in your local Room SQLite database and your public gallery folders on your device. You can delete any saved status media directly from the App or your device's built-in file manager/gallery. Uninstalling the App will delete the App's local database. Saved media files copied to your public gallery directory (Pictures/SavedStatuses) will remain on your device unless you manually delete them.

5. Children’s Privacy

Our services do not collect any information from children under 13 (or 16 in certain jurisdictions), as the App functions entirely offline without data collection capabilities.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the effective date.

Your access to and use of the App is conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the App.

By accessing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, then you may not access or use the App.

1. Description of Service

Status Saver is an Android utility application designed to save and organize ephemeral media files (photos/videos) viewed within instant messaging applications (WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business) to the user's local device storage. The App functions entirely offline and is provided "as is".

2. User Obligations & Intellectual Property of Third-Party Media

Respect Copyright: You agree to use the App in compliance with all applicable local, national, and international laws, including copyright and intellectual property laws.
Media Ownership: WhatsApp statuses are the intellectual property of their respective creators. Saving or backing up statuses using this App is intended for your personal, non-commercial use.
Re-sharing Media: You are solely responsible for obtaining permission from the original owner/creator before re-posting, sharing, publishing, or distributing any media saved using this App. We are not responsible for any copyright infringement or unauthorized distribution of media by our users.

3. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

Affiliation: This App is an independent utility. It is not affiliated, associated, authorized, endorsed by, or in any way officially connected with WhatsApp Inc., Meta Platforms Inc., or any of their subsidiaries or affiliates.
No Warranty: The App is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We make no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, as to the operation of the App or the completeness, accuracy, or reliability of any saved status media.
Loss of Data: We are not responsible for the deletion, corruption, or failure to store any statuses, media files, or database logs managed by the App.
Limitation of Liability: In no event shall we be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the App.

4. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will indicate the date of the last update at the top of these Terms.
